Momence Junior High School places second in Team Quest finals

Congratulations to the team and coaches from Momence Junior High School for finishing in second place in the final round of the Team Quest Competition held April 23 and 26 in Chester, IL.  

Sixth graders Noah Bramer, Dominic Franc, Chloe Lyles and Greta Prairie earned the right to compete by finishing among the top teams in local and regional competitions.  Team coaches were Marla and Wayne Hamann and Kim Bramer.  They competed against 18 other schools from around the state

“I am very proud of these students. They represented themselves and Momence Jr. High with determination and excellence.” said Marla Hamann. “They worked as a true team and never gave up on a challenge.”

The theme for this year’s finals was “Wings.” Teams spent two days competing in music challenges, answering trivia, building planes, identifying birds and solving math problems. They also tested their teamwork, building and creative skills on several additional engineering and creative projects.
